i have a rebuilt my quadrajet and now it floods on start up it has a holley red electric fuel pump. i have had it running and down the road but it starting to be a pain in the rear.

Take it apart and lower the float!

Sounds like the needle and seat are not seating properly. Also make sure you didn't lose the little check ball that goes under the pump discharge screw. It's a small ball bearing.

float can be taking on fuel, filling with gas take it out and make sure theres no gas getting in it

ok i have thrown in the towel i have bought a holley 670cfm
and it run great but the tv cable (detent) is not right but have made some adjustment to it but not sure what the pressure in the 700r4 should be seems to shift pretty good but might have a little to much pressure. but i was told that the detent would self adjust if it was too tight?? not sure? |
