Re: v6 exhaust??
Well I've heard good things and sound clips about the TSP Rumbler www.texas-speed.com and the SLP Loudmouth on 6's. Also Magnaflow's not too bad. Never heard the Borla on a 6.

Re: v6 exhaust??
I put a DynoMax Muffler on my 94 3.4 and I like the sound I get from it, it has a nice rumble at low R's and doesn't have the ricey sound of flowmasters

Re: v6 exhaust??
Well a couple things. Many people but a bullet muffler as a resonator to kill some of the "ricey" tones. Also I don't think that one you posted would work for our cars; meant the Rumbler catback. Can get it w/o tips for 200 bucks plus shipping. The rumbler and loudmouth bouth are bullets, i know dynomax makes one too.

Re: v6 exhaust??
ive said it before and ill say it again. magnaflow. nothing affordable sounds better on the sixers. its a straight through design, 2.5" tubing with 3" tips. you get great sound, excellent flow, and awsome looks. i got mine from www.lmperformance.com for cheapier than anywhere else, but that was over a year ago so i dont know about now.

try this!
i used to have a 93 camaro with a 3.4. I've heard that car with practically ever muffeler on it with cats and no cats-with exhaust and just straight headers. If you got 500 dollars, throw in hooker headers, they sound the best, and they give the car low end torque(front end lifts up when you stomp the gas). The first muffeler i put on was an 80 serious single to dual crossflow, it sucked. The car purred at low rpms and sounded deep up till 3 rpms-after that, that fucking rattle v6 sound. Your car is single to dual-comming out of one lousy cat, and your exhaust line is horribly restrictive. The cheapest thing you can do is go to the junkyard, take a catalyctic converter and take yours out also, gut them both, weld them back together. cut your exhaust pipes out when they come out of the headers(or exhaust manifolds)-so it actually begins to have real dual exhaust-fire it up, it will sound like a race car but its extremely illegal. If you got lots of money, i reccomend stainless steel exhaust lines all the way back-2.5 inches at max. If not, you can redneck it like i did-and buy 2.5 pipes from autozone or advance and weld them all together to customize your own exhaust line. Its better if its straight. Now your car has real dual exhaust-it will sound a hell of a lot better-not to mention-have a lot better pickup. Your car however does require some backpressure for low end torque, thats why i reccomend going no bigger than 2.5 on a v-6. There are rumors that you will burn up your exhaust valves or hurt your engine by doing that. its bullshit, i ran that car without an exhaust on it for almost a month, nothing will happen. Like i said, go with the 2.5-better exhaust pressure and decent sound. Put everything on with the hollowed out cats and your choice of muffeler-i had hooker. Your car with purr at idle-and rev up real loud without that damn rattle.

Re: v6 exhaust??
another newbie bringin back old threads... lol
*renzo.. its nice to do a search on subjects before you post on a subject, but its a lot more helpful and less annoying to just create a new thread on the subject.. many times new threads will get different kindsof answers as before.. and old threads will get responses like.. well like philly's.. it just more or less clutters up the front page and annoys the senior members... so please, dont do it nemore. thanks
