Front left flasher
On my Windstar 2001 the front left flasher is not working. Rear is OK,
bulb, fuse are correct. At the socket, I have 3 wires, one has 12 volts, other is a ground but the last has nothing. According to the right side, negative should be present in this third wire. I don't know where to look. Is anybody should have an idea, a connection, a terminal or a module from which this negative come, where I could check. I have ordered the wiring diagram for my van, but not received yet, I would like to find asap. Thank you Denis |

Re: Front left flasher
Both negatives come from the "front electronic control module". You most likely have a broken wire.

Flasher 2001 Windstar
Could you indicate me the location of this front electrical control module,
so I will be able to follow the wire from this point until the park/flasher socket. Denis |

Re: Front left flasher
Had a similar problem in a Vic.. check the safety flashers,if they work,, then that connection is intact, but they should act funny,, like blink odd rate, or just one side, the safety switch and the turn signal are related in wiring...If it dont work correct then the switch is faulty,it will affect both the turn signal and the safety blinkers.

cutted wire
OK I have found the problem which was a cutted wire between the FEM and the light flasher socket. This wire goes directly from the module to the socket. I did not find exactly where it is broken however I have installed a temporary wire between the 2 points until I decided to locate
this cuttes wire. |
