CAT problem
my catalatic converter is supposidly just gone up now how do i go about checkin to make sure the 02 sensors arent f'd up or the wiring because i would like to check that before i go out and buy a new cat

you could replace them. I think i remember hearing of an easy way to check them though. Best idea is to pick up a haynes manual, it will show you exactly how to change them, and it will also (i think) tell you how to check them. (they're not that expensive to change out i dont think)

well my haynes manual doesnt say anything about checking them, however it does give 2 good tips about changing them: 1. start your engine for a couple minutes to warm them up, they contract when they're cold and are very difficult to get out (when cold), 2. if you take one out and put the same one back in, it says to put anti-seize compound on the threads to facilitate future removal, if you put in a new one it should already have this on it, i dont know anything about this so im just letting ya know what the book says, hope this helps...
