Are '87 Taurus halfshafts pressed into the wheel bearings?
I guess the subject says it all. Some halfshafts press into the wheel bearings, while some are "easily" removed after taking the axle nut off. How is the Taurus?
Also, while I've got you here, if the shaft does not press fit, after removal of the inner joint, will the shaft collapse enough to allow removal of the entire halfshaft? Or will I have to remove ball joints and such to allow the suspension to swing out. Thanks. |
