Sticky shifter
I have a 325e and when the car is cold and I want to get going the shifter is very sticky in first. It feels like something is grinding or catching like a bushing but it will go into 1st with some help and then it grinds a little in second, but third fourth and fifth are fine. When the car warms up I have no problems with it at all. Could it be the linkage or a bad bushing or rotator cup catching. I tried to pull the shifter out but it's way different than any other american cars where you remove the shifter boot and there are usually four bolts and the shifter can be removed. Can anyone assist me on how to remove the shifter and my shifting problem?
