unplugging pwr window/lock/mirror plugs - HELP ME
Well, today i was installing the speakers for my truck.. We got the back ones in but the POWER WINDOWS/MIRROR/LOCK buttons WOULD NOT UNPLUG!!! i dont know WHY!! i got the POWER MIRROR WIRE PLUG OUT BUT I LOST THE SPRING AND IT DOES NOT WORK.. WOULD THAT NOT WORKING MAKE IT SO MY INTERIOR LIGHTS WONT GO OFF?
anyway, has anyone unplugged theirs or does anyone know how?? thanks

there is a chance you blew a fuse. I would pull yor fuses and take a closer look. The problem might be that easy to fix. let me know if it doens't work

I'm not certain about the spring comming apart from the connector... sounds fishy. But,,, farther upline from the window/lock/mirror control there are two main connectors where you can disconnect the controls from the main harness coming from the door jam. Also, if you are only removing the door panel it is easiest to just weasel the window/lock controls through the hole in the door panel... it'll fit through easily if you angle it,,, there should be plenty of wire length for this.
From experience, i've noticed that when I unplug the controls to my driver side door my interior lights will not go out, even w/ the door closed. And also as odd as it sounds my rear hatch remote button on the dash will not pop the hatch, nor will the press in button/key hole pop it. During this time my power locks still function. I hope this somehow sheds a little ray of hope on your situation. |
