76 Olds With 5 Speed Trans.

I Am Getting A 76 Cutlass 2 Dr Hardtop With V8 And 5 Speed Factory Installed. Can Some One Tell Me What Trans This Is And Possibly What The Ratios Are? Thanks

When I first read this post, I thought that you might be mistaken. I thought that all these cars were automatic and someone must have retrofitted this trans in at a later date.

However, my service manuals do list a Warner T-50 5 spd trans was available on the Cutlass in '76, '78, 79 and '80.
You have a rare car there.

Hey! Thanks for the information. i never saw one before but i was sure by looking at it that it was factory, Would you know from your manuals what ratios are in it and what size front shaft is on it? thanks again, Billy

Sure. it will be a few days before i get the car home to take the pics, but when i do i'll take some pics and post them. a 78 is a copletely different car than a 76-77, much smaller body. thanks, Billy
