Talking Some of my models *updated* close pics of engine

Thought it might ( ..or not) be interresting to show some of my latest achievments:

My latest, and almost completed.Ford `40 with Halibrands and severly lowered front-end. Gloss black, and of course, a hotrodded flathead.

A `29 with an attitude! Channeled, chopped and a `59Impala trunklid as a roof. Add `narrowed and shortened `57 Chrysler rear end. Built using only flat paints and dry pastels for wheathering and rust.

And we finish of this rust-crusty thread with a `37..

Built as one of those that show up on every rodrun; full of charachter and rust, but still runnin`!

Some close-ups of the engine on the `40. Normally i`m not a wiring-and-plumbing modeler, but this time i did it. Turned out quite nicely too.

Up close on the generator.Wired as close to the real thing as my references could show.

Comments/questions welcome.

Nice work but your title is uncalled for. PM me if you have any problems with it.

Oh man...lol...I can see where you can have trouble with this. Where do you think some of your models are manufactured?

Re: Some of my models

I'm not here to judge anyone, but I do have to say that although the '; )' symbol indicates it was meant as a joke, any cultural remarks (however "harmless") should be kept to your dumb self. The AF universe has been one of my last havens from a prejudice society where biggots and racists can't spot targets and furthermore can't display there ignorance because, *tear*, skin color doesn't show in your font. I love that we can't see each other because then we don't get bogged down by petty stuff like skin color, gender and appearences, we focus on the wonderful hobby. But alas, I have just been brought back to the reality of it all. People, no matter how united they are by there loves, hobbies and interests (modeling, crafting and cars in this case) are always looking for ways to separate themselves.

I personaly don't have a preference for that type of automobile, but your craftsmanship and creativity is amazing. I hope that YOU could be intelligent and insightful enough to appreciate my 'jap' models for the same, or my fellow 'jap' modelers. Lucky for you I'm not a moderator

Re: Some of my models

Ok ok, i apology. Seems my "wink wink" didn`t help. The reason for this is that when i attend a show, most models seems to hail from US. But on this forum,it`s the opposite. And that`s fine with me!
And i thought that the traditional hotrod was in decline here,so..
I hereby promise with my hand on the Holy stash not to make jokes about models manufactured in other contries.Amen

And now on to the models. The 29 got its roof after seing a similar idea in amagazine on a 1:1. I cut out the trunklid from the impala, removed the chromespear, and turned it around. The biggest problem wa getting the pillars to match the curvature.

Spidereddie,im sorry if i made you uncomfortable with my post. It was meant as ajoke, and it didn`t work. If ít`s any comfort to you, my daily driver is made in japan. And she`s a fine car!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Some of my models

Got here too late to see the controversy, so whatever. But anyway, you're models are great. I am a little on the fence about the 29 but I think that's my fault for not making good sense of it. The 40 and the 37 on the other hands, look just magnificent to me! I love the work on the 37, it looks like it's been in someone's barn for years and it's just recently made it out under its own power. And the 40... hot! Got anymore pictures of the motor in that thing? I've got a flathead in the works, and I am curious to see other people's takes on them.

Re: Some of my models

Thanks for the input guys! The `29 seem to offensive; have brought it to shows and a lot have taken photos but hardly any have given it votes

And the flathead : Took pictures at the same time as the `40 but the chromed aircleaners turned out blurry. I`ll see if i can take better shots tonight. It`s the flathead from the R/M Pro Modeler `40 conv. Wired sparkleads, fuellines, oillines for the beehivefilter, wired alternator, e.t.c.
*Engine pictures and desriptions added 26/3*
