C-Klasse DTM *stripped*..somewhat detailed.

Before moderators make a decision to may be move this to automotive sports forum, this is not a build up of a real or fictional race car, but it does use the basis of a Tamiya DTM C-Klasse AMG kit.

My goal is to make the "skinned" race car, no sponsor decals, fresh as it came off the factory floor from Munich, intended to go to team D2 Privat. So if it should be moved, please go ahead.

I started with small parts, the wheels, engine and breaks.

Wheels feature a custom knock off, turned aluminum valves, stenciled tires with proper race markings used by team D2Privat in 1994-1996 DTM season.

Engine, carbon fiber valve covers, pe valve tightening bolts, tatinium headers

Air cleaner, carbon fiber with Pe retaining clips

almost complete. some wiring still needed

Brakes:

Comments please! Thanks.

Hey,

The parts look really detailed! What brad of cf are you using? It looks so real! Also, what rims are those? Hope to see some more progress soon! Looks promising!

The rims are the stock Tamiya Monoblock AMG-OZ rims. The carbon fiber decal is Scale Motorsports 1/20 silver/black weave.

Looks good so far, and I like the concept. Pics of the car itself maybe? I'm not too familiar with Mercedes.
