Rear o2 install + PICS

Well first I would like to thank scottsee for him making a sweet how to, on rear o2 and hooking me up with the link...Aside from all the spelling errors and other english related screw ups its pretty damn helpful (haha can't give you props without cutting you down a peg at the same time)
here is the link http://scottjsee.googlepages.com/plx-m300
Since I don't have LINK I had to also eliminate my O2 from the ECU or else I would get a CEL here is the link http://www.vfaq.com/mods/O2bypass.html

Also the STEPS are not the way to do it if you're doing this install follow the link not my steps I am skipping stuff (like unplug battery) only pictures worthy of picking were takin.

Ok now to the good stuff... PICS
Step one take out front seat

as you can see I had an assortment of trinkets, french fries and yup even a couple bucks worth of change (don't get too excited thats in canadian dollars)
Step 2 pull back carpet

your right that doesn't look like the carpet is pulled back.. Thats cause I stopped in amazement when I pulled it back a little bit only to find a perfectly intact cigarette pack wrapper neatly installed. Probably installed right there on the assembly line. I can just see the bastard with a cigarette in his lips intalling my carpet thinking no one will ever find this.
Step 3 Locate o2 wire

|Step 4 remove Old o2 (man this step is a bitch)

Step 5 Insert Wideband o2 in hole and put other end through bigger hole which you helped make

Step 6 make your circuit that looks like this but with better soldering and then attach it to the old o2 sensor wires. *Caution this is no joke the resistor for the heater element MUST be at least 12 watts and keep it the fuck away from anything that catches on fire..

Step 7 Run wires under carpet and up behind everything to your sexy |A-Pillar gauge where you mount your sweet new gauge...But which faceplate (lifes soo hard sometimes)

Step 8 Replace everything in ther reverse order No picture
Step 9 turn on this metal thing (|I don't know what it does but the car moves faster with it on)
Step 10 ||(very important) get a sexy pic of your new gauges working with no CEL)

Step 11 (also very important) take some glamour shots of your DSM

Good night

thanks for watching

*disclaimer_-> do not attempt this install at anytime. Attempting install may lead to severe injuries including burns, cuts and scrapes. It may also lead to severe depression, frusteration, unexplicable rage, hostility to women or friends.

Re: Rear o2 install + PICS

Nice write up. I actually enjoyed it a little. You're a funny man. When I did my rear O2, I didn't take out the seat, so it made it a lot harder. Actually extended the cut of the carpet about an inch to get to the connector. I used my bro's little hands to get to it and take it out. So, my contribution, is you don't need to take out the seat fully.

Re: Rear o2 install + PICS

ohh don't worry I know it looks small and old but I poked a bunch of holes in it with a screwdriver so it flows better. Nah I'm replacing exhaust this summer.

Your interior is/was really dirty, you should clean it more often...

Cool stuff... I'm just to lazy to bother fixing my "spelling errors and other english related screw ups". I'm going to steal your pictures though.
