MILF!

Auto for me... I'm lazy... just mash my pedal

Plus its more consistant than a Manual... which is best for the 1/4...

manual, nothing better than going to 6500rpm, and dropping it into 2nd only to do it once more at 62MPH. Plus you can't beat the control you get with a manual, and the torque that my tranny can take, that an auto can't....

Talking

Manual!

There´s nothing like a roaming 2 litre engine on 8000rpm, slam in second gear, and watching those supershitty BMW´s dissapearing in the rearview mirror.

u gotta drive the clutch, u cant have a machine do it for you. i can see if there is a hill up ahead and i will downshift if i need to. also, if i am going downhill i just let off my gas to maintain my speed (and watch everyone if front of me wear out their brakes). oh yeah, there is nothing like catching 2nd gear at 50mph!

manual or use a bus...

I had auto. Nightmare!!!
Mine suggestion is get rent or borrow any car with 5 sp. for 3-5 days (better weekend) and drive around just for fun. Better if you have some experience with manual. Take test drive with automatic later and you'll see!!!

Good luck!

Depends on the application:

From a performance standpoint, you've got the track and you've got the strip. Manual tranny's definitely have the advantage on a road or curcuit course. On the dragstrip Automatics have the advantage because they are more consistant and can shift quicker.

From an everyday standpoint, you've got when you feel like having fun booting around and when you feel like shit from a long day's work and don't feel like clutching, shifting, not to mention juggling a cellpone, smoke, or drink along with that.

Also depends on the car:

A little four-banger is going to need a good Manual driver to be able to juice that tiny amount of torque for all its worth.

A V8 with over 300 ft/lb of torque is not going to care if you floor it and the Automatic transmission keeps it in gear, drop a gear, or drops two gears - its still going to RIP!

Based on everyone I know who drives a Manual, they wish it was an automatic more times that they're glad they got a stick.

AUTOMATIC it is! (bottom line: NOOOOOBODY can outshift a computer) :smoker:
