89 - 750il Electrical questions

Hello,

I have a few questions I hope someone can assist me with.

I have an 89 750IL and have recently run into a few small problems with the battery and tail lights. I went on a two week vacation and left my B.M.W. Parked in my garage, when I returned and tried to fire it up, I found the battery was dead. I mean totally drained I had to really work at getting the doors open. The battery is about four months old, and noting was left on inside, the only thing was the alarm system lights were blinking.

The second thing is I have one tail light that is out, it is an intermittant problem and goes out every third time I turn on the headlights. I have tried checking the fuses but can't find any labeled specifically as tail lights, I only saw some for "rear fog lights" Is that what I am looking for??

and lastly the dash computer (the system that tells you when to check oil and which light has gone out) reset to German, it used to be in English.

I am new to B.M.W.'s and would welcome any assistance to help me get this straightened out, I don't want to go to a dealer and get reamed.

Thanks for your time

Shawn
