shudder felt in steering wheel

I have a 2001 Limited that developed a shudder or vibration felt in the steering wheel while turning at slow speeds as in a parking lot. I've had the rack and pinion and power steering pump and pressure line replaced. It was good for a couple of weeks but now it's back. Anybody else have that trouble with a fix? I also hear a popping noise coming out of the front end when the car leans while turning a corner. I've changed strut mounts and wheel bearings with no luck. I've even changed engine cradle front mounts. Surely somebody can help.

Maybe check your CV axles. Look at the boots to see if there is grease leaking out of a rip or tear. Many times, grease has spun out into the wheel well or inside the rim if the outer boot failed. Clicking/popping is a common indicator of a bad CV joint.

Re: shudder felt in steering wheel

Thanks for the reply. I'll ask my mechanic. I told him to check everything while he had it but you know how that goes sometimes.
