Aftermarket Fog Lights

Hey guys,

Im new to the boards and dont know alot about cars at all. I have a 2002 nissan xterra that came with no fog lights, nor is it prewired. I dont really do any 'real' offroading, but i do like the outdoors alot so i have a yakima loadwarrior and 2 yakime boa bike racks for my mountain bikes. I was looknig to install fog lights, and the factory ones are very expensive and require the prewired package. I was looking on ebay and saw this Blinglights.com site. What do you guys think about the first set of lights on here? 100Watt lights

http://www.blinglights.com/nissan_SUV.html

Do you think id be able to install it, and do you think it is good enough for what i need(Just some addition light, nothing too hardcore)?

50 dollars seems pretty cheap for fog lights, but im a college student with limited funds. What do you guys think?

Thanks
pat

Re: Aftermarket Fog Lights

100 watt lights are illegal on the road. 55 watt is the highest you're supposed to use. It's cool that they fit the factory location. If you can follow instructions you should be able to install the lights. $50 is cheap, and you get what you pay for, but they might be all you need for now, so who cares right?

ok cool, thanks

i honestly have no idea why i said 100 watt lights. I guess i meant to say they were 110 watt lights total. Yea they are 55 watts a piece.
Just wanted to make sure they are pretty managable to put on with a somewhat limited amount of car knowledge.
Thanks for your help, and these are some great boards. Glad i found it

Re: Aftermarket Fog Lights

Unbend a coathanger to help push the wires through the firewall (I tape the ends to the end of the wire). The hole is located above and to the left of the footpedals. The rest should be in the instructions.

Re: Aftermarket Fog Lights

Don't set your wrench on the battery terminals.
