Re: 94 lumina apv rough running
Spray the coils, plug wires, module, and anything else electrical with WD-40 (it won't hurt anything under the hood) and see what happens.

Re: 94 lumina apv rough running
I hope you didn't suck water into the engine, because you may have hydrolocked it and bent a connecting rod. I would check compression and see if you have a cylinder low, if so, you have big problems. The TPS wouldn't be affected by going thru water.

Back in '93, when the floods were drowning us all in the midwest, I towed a new Infiniti to the dealer, the guy had drowned it in floodwater, trying to drive through a closed intersection (duh...). When we got there, the service manager came out and tried to crank the motor, it sounded like a 10 gallon metal drum fulla rocks rolling down a hill. He threws his hands up and started swearing. He said he had 7 of them in the shop just like that, and showed me the cold air intake ducts coming from down low on the front below the bumper. They pick up a solid shot of cold water, and when the motor tries to compess it with hot pistons, the light alloy domes shatter, and destroying the cylinder bores, too. He said he loved the look on these idiots faces when he tells them that it is NOT covered under warrantee. |

Re: 94 lumina apv rough running
Anyway, that's why I said WD-40 soakdown. Usually if the problem is water vs. electrical in nature, the WD will eventually creep into wherever the water is, and chase it out.
