read that this problem is normaly caused by bad ignition lock cylinder being bad. but tried new one did not solve problem. i read that have to remove steering column to reset actuator rod pin because it is two pieces is this a really hard thing to do. one more question all the stuff i read to remove steering COLUMN says i have to take steering wheel off can't see why have to remove steering but i am not the professional.any help would be helpful thanks JOSEPH PALMIERI

The only way to get into the housing below the steering wheel is to remove the steering wheel. So if the part you need to play with is inside that housing you have no other choice.
