Question stupid clutch?

ok, i had to replace my clutch cable on on 88 dx, when i first bought my car. my clutch was fine for about the first month, then th pedel seemed realy loose and it engaged late. i thought it was just the cable breaking in, so i got it tightend.

now a couple months later, its doin it agin, it feels all loose. what is this from? would it be from peelin out to hard and the cable cant take it?
