No Transmission Fluid Filter for 97 Camry LE V6?

Hi

your help is appreciated!
I have 97 Toyota Camry(LE-V6) and it has 136000 miles on it.

I had done transmission fluid chage(transmission flush)
recently for the first time. The person who did the transmission fuild
did not change the filter. I had called another service station and asked them
how much they charge to change the transmission fluid filter. He asked me what
kind of car is it. When I told him about my 97 Camry LE-V6, he said my car
would not have Transmission fluid filetr and I dont have to worry about it.

Is it true? Toyota's won't have transmission fluid filters?

Your response is highly appreciated.

Thanks

yea try the camry forums. I don't think any car has transmission fluid filters also, I've never heard of it. You just drain the tranny fluid, flush it, and refill

Your auto transmission may have a screen instead of a filter. The ones in my 87 and 92 4-cyl auto trans Camrys sure did. When you have your trans serviced, just ensure they clean the screen after they drain the old dirty trans fluid. Nothing to it.
