CD Player Skips

99 Pontiac GP with the GM/Delco single CD player. The CD's skip when I hit bumps.

Any suggestions on how to remidy this?

I should add this has gotten progressivly worse over the last year. Before that I had no problems. It is to the point now that even the smallest of bumps cause a skip.

Thanks in advance

Re: CD Player Skips

Thats factory for ya. Does too depending on the size of the bump and how hard I hit it.

Re: CD Player Skips

Quit hitting bumps or just listen while parked or listen to rap and you will never know when it skips.

Jeff not everything round is a CD. You have been putting in your kids records from their Playschool toy. Stop doing that, and the trouble will go away. That will be $20.00 please.

Re: CD Player Skips

Ive still got a bunch of 45's from back in the 60's early 70's and over 400 33's, I bought most of them when I was over in Germany in the Army 1975/1977.I still have my Sony PS4300 turntable that I bought over there also and play them from time to time.

Have a Yamaha. Still think it has the best sound.
And if the price of gas keeps going up, I'm buying a wagon, and have the Wife pull me to work.
