Question stealth/3000gt?

i would like to know who is faster between the vr-4 and the tt stealth
or are they the same. i always thought they were the same because of the same engine and everything but some people said that the stealth is faster because it was lighter. so which one is lighter?

Re: stealth/3000gt?

The Stealth is lighter. It should be about 1 to 2 tenths faster if that.

right, everything inside and outside about both cars are 100% the same, except for a couple of body parts, which are, in fact, directly interchangable between cars except for the spoilers. The stealth tends to have a few less options making it a lighter car.

Re: stealth/3000gt?

stealth is light due to the fact that the 3000gt came with all the active aero stuff. that front venture plate in the front of the 1st gen and some of the 2nd gen 3000gts weight over 100 lbs... but ultimately there is not much dif between the 2... not enough to tell if one is faster than the other... mabey the stealth would cross the finish line a inch in front of the 3000gt.

Re: stealth/3000gt?

on 91-93 models there is a front spoiler... mitsu calls it the front venture plate... its the big black cover underneath the front bumper and engine, that goes up and down when you turn on active arrow... it moves both the wing and the venture plate... it has 2 moters and is renforced with metal brakets plus its made up of polyurthane... so it is pretty heavy...

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: stealth/3000gt?

the 2nd gens with AA, 94-96, had that also, but it is very light. With the brackets I would guess around 15 lbs tops.
