Sum 41 blatantly rips off Coldplay

Sum 41's Pieces is nearly identical to Coldplay's The Scientist chord for chord, chorus for chorus. Only thing excepted is basic melody and lyrics. The link at the top contains a link in which you can listen to both songs overlapped, and hear the similarities. Its not a coincidence, it is definately a ripoff. Almost as bad as Vanilla Ice's stunt. I still like a bit of Sum's older stuff. But now I cant stand them at all. Plus, this little bit of info has cost them my respect too.

Ripoffs = all music.
When I come around (Green Day) = Glycerine (Bush) = No one Else (Weezer) = tons of other songs with that exact same chord progression I think it's touch to avoid ripping off artists any more in some way or another. Any chord progression you can think of has already been used somewhere, for sure, it's just a matter of making it sound different.

I don't know if anyone else knows this, but like, 5 of Nickleback's songs are exactly the same, but with differant lyrics, I have an mp3 with two of their most popular songs played one paned right, the othe left, and it's freaky. Anyone else got it?

So, it seems this isn't the first song Sum41 has essentially ripped off. And, I'd love to hear the Nickelback songs played together. Boy, do they stink.

It would be different if a small band like a local band did because they haven't been around long enough to have there own lyrics for a whole nights worth of playing. When a huge band, like sum41, takes a song that another huge band, metallica, Nickelback, Coldplay etc. made. You see?
