Unhappy 1990 LeSabre Dying

Well from what i read I am at a battle...I bought the car a few days ago(had to have one) for 500, it has 196K on it, but like i said...HAD to have one. Well there was only a few problems with it, turnsignla doesn't work(but hazards do and the fuse is good), and no antanna, well i was driving home last night, drove about 6 miles then it died(2 streets down from my house). Tried and tried to crank it over and it wouldn't start, It's try to fire, cranking, but it wouldn't fire up. It was 2 am so i didn't get a good look at it...all the service engine lights came on, and i was going about 60 then AS SOON as i hit the brakes, it died.

Any Suggestions would be appreiciated. Thanks
Arshem

Usually when an engine just quits out of nowhere, my first opinion is of a fuel delivery interuption issue. Before cranking the motor, roll the key to the run position, not start, and listen towards the rear car for the fule pump, you should hear it come on (humm/whine) for a second or 2 when it primes up the system. No sound? Dead fuel pump (MAYBE)

Why "(MAYBE)"?

These cars have more than their fair share of electrical malfunctions, and since you mentioned it just died when you hit the brakes, I'm thinking it's something else.

But, first things first, make sure you have a running pump.

hmmm.

The second time it died, did it die the same way as the first (applying the brakes)?
