Lack of power help ASAP
my buddy has a 02 se and it barley pulls its self around. NO ENGINE LIGHT THOUGH. he replaced the plugs and wires but no differance. then he took it to a dealer and they said that there was an egr problem and missfires on three cylinders. so they changed the egr adn it still lacks power. now they say that there is 3 lbs of back pressure in the engine. so they told him that it was a plugged catylitic converter. they said that should take care of the problem..... Does that sound right help me out

Re: Lack of power help ASAP
Yes that sounds right. A plugged converter will cause the engine to do what you are saying. If he bought the car new and the car has less than 70K miles it should be covered under warranty.

Re: Lack of power help ASAP
Check the web. There are large number of companies that sell cats. I would also check with Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, NAPA and etc. They should be able to help you.
