Seen a black one like above on the way home from the Chicago auto show a few weeks ago.

I seen another one in Milwaukee today, and yeah they look kinda old or something. A Land Rover rip off.

I have seen a bunch of these and one a couple times a week. They are different looking and never really considered it a Land Rover rip off but I definitely see that. I was lucky enough to see one of these right when they came out at a dealership, I guess on special delivery since it was in the back.

Drove one today at work. They must be one of the best sounding Mercs out there. Just plain mean sounding.

I always liked th G500/G55. But it hasn't been the best looking car made by Mercedes. The G Wagon is basically a luxurified German Military vehicle (i.e: civillian H1). Don't hold me to the previous sentence, but I think that is right. It's the SUV for those who drive an S500 I guess. But wait for the next G500. It will have better looks. And wouldn't that be cool if they dropped a v12 into it! A G600. And then a G65 AMG!

Yep, you are correct. Mercedes never actually wanted to bring it to the US but I guess the demand was so high they couldn't resist.

That looks pretty nice. But (IMO) the headlights are not the best looking ones possible. I sure hope these headlights (first seen on the CLS. Which some love and some hate. I dont like it much.) are not what Mercedes is planning to use on future models.
