95 s10 ls 4x4 transfer case help?

I have a 95 s10 4x4 ls 4.3l with overdrive and its stuck in 4x4 low. I put in a new vac vale into the transfer case and it is still stuck in low and I cant get it out?

Check your fuses, if those are all set. There is an actuator under the battery, it looks like a little drum covered in rubber, that may also need to be replaced. Try squezing it to see if you can force it out of 4 wheel drive. You will need to pull the battery to get to it, but it is located right under there atleast in the 97 model.

Is the T-case electric shift or manual lever on the floor? I have seen the motor go bad but more often the switch goes bad. also make sure you got the vaccum line connector hooked up right!!!!

Check the stuff the other people said to check, but you could also have a bad transfer case motor... Disconnect the battery for 5 mins and see if that resets it.

Thanks for the advice and i'll give them a try and see if it works. It is the push button type.
