Carbon Fiber Hood

Anyone know where I can get a good quality OEM style carbon fiber hood at a decent price?

try andysautosport.com
they have oem hoods and for a cb hood, dont look to spend less than 300 for a good one.

Re: Carbon Fiber Hood

I wouldnt advise getting a CF Hood. they crack from turbo heat and the coating on the outside even with a really good quality hood peels off and then ends up looking like shit. but I want one because I like them and I am willing to buy another on after this one goes to crap. I am going fo weight if your going for looks get a CF stamped hood it wont go bad.

CF hoods can crack. From the ones I've seen it doesn't look structural, more cosmetic. Not all hoods crack, either. Not sure if it's an issue of quality or whether the hoods are full CF or CF coated fiberglass. That wasn't discussed in the last thread, if I remember right. I've heard good things about VIS. Looks like they are two piece construction by the link below. As for the clearcoat peeling off, I think that's because of UV.

E-Bay is a good starting point to get an idea of cost, but it's better to buy locally if you can since shipping will be so expensive. 150 dollars here, for 450 total. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...532076105&rd=1
