Hello all,
I have a question about my 97 eclipse gs. I am very sorry if this has already been addressed, but I have tryed my best to search all the old threads, and I havent found much that helps me. I am looking for some (badly needed) power on my non turbo eclipse, and i was looking at purchasing an Apex'i Dunk cat back exhaust and Megan headers and "catalytic converter" (i know, its just a resonator). I was wondering if this would be a good thing to do. I have a Bomz cold air intake, and was thinking about getting a bored out tb. Would these compensate for the lack of backpressure? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated! Thanx. |

Re: 97 GS complete exhaust change need some help! backpressure?
Search back pressure or velocity and use my user name. If that doesnt turn up at least 2-3 good posts on the subject, you might be able to convince me to find them for you.

Re: 97 GS complete exhaust change need some help! backpressure?
if you bore out the tb you'll have to match it to the intake manifold and then you might as well port the intake runners and then the head and while it's off you might as well polish it and install some more agressive cams and adjustable timing gears and then you'll have to finish with porting the exhaust ports and match the header to the head. that should give you a little more added hp's.
