Re: headunit N ps2

I'm not too big of a radioshack fan but they have a/v switch boxes that will probably work. I use to work at one and if I remember corectly they have one that will multi task so that you can watch a dvd in one monitor and play the ps2 in another. Check in to it I guess. Hope I helped.

Re: headunit N ps2

no the reason the ps2 wont play through a vcr is because the video signal the ps2 sends out doesnt interact with the video inputs on the vcr properly and the vcr cant read it corectly. Im not too sure what all is uinvolved.

the video switch is like a splitter. It takes the signal it is given and sends it to whatever you tell it to. It does'nt try to utalize th signal for anything. other than it could have optinal super video outputs but you dont have to worry about that.

What type of video connectors will your system be using anyway. If they are 1/8 inch or 3/32 (headphone jack lookin things) you may have to get adapters and they will have them too. The a/v switch will use rca type connectors. and probably s-video. but you dont have to use the s-video for anything.

Re: headunit N ps2

yea I know. I dont know how though. ps2's are'nt good on your vcr . It screwed mine up. It takes a while but sooner or later you'll loose your video inputs. As far as I know it wont hurt you tv though.

Re: headunit N ps2

Panasonic i swithced from a jvc to a cq-dfx983u it had amazing sound compared to the jvc and it sounded better than my alpine did. It has 5 preamp outputs all 5v 1 sub, 1 rear and 1 front speaker, cd changer and aux in. No video playback except the little videos it played but it was worth the money they have a new one with more features and it has a built in 60watts rmsx4 amp not peak. It was so nice til i wrecked my car broke a $.98 loading disc or something. Ive never had a problem with dvd on a ps2 thorugh a vcr.

Re: headunit N ps2

I'd have to agree on panasonics sq. their decks are pretty nice. Usualy packed with options. I wish I could track down the model my buddy had. It had a flip out video screen and front and rear rca audio/video inputs. It also had sub/front/rear and center pre outs w dolby digital suround sound. He picked it up in japan and I guess he paid a fortune for it. The only thing that sucked about it was that it was in japanes. I guess it took him a while to figure it all out. You never heard tool until you heard it through that deck. Resident evil was his movie of choice because of scare factor. Marylin Manson made some tight audio tracks for that movie. Keep your eyes open for one and theres 1000 bucks in it for you if you want to sell it. It has to be dolby digital though with a center output.
