What are the dif., if any in the new model 4l60E transmissions?
My tranny is starting to studder i am pretty sure it is about to go out isn't that what it usually means? I saw some 4l60E's on ebay with high performance kits for pretty cheap wouldn't that be better than rebuiling mine too?(i.e. good price, done by performance tranny rebuild shop) I have a 95 caprice/impala with a little over 100k miles. at about 85k i noticed the notorious reverse delay but figured that was typical of that car, then it has started to studder after some........ i gues you could say heavy driving. also if somone could give me a website with some performance LT1 rebuild kits. thanks for any help 95' caprice/impala- impala rims/grill, custom built dash with 7" screen/ ps2,bilstein,energy suspensions, + more next pay check like borla headers and flowmaster exhaust, cheap tires cuz i go through them so fast Last edited by jsoto; 03-04-2005 at 01:45 AM. |

The 4L60 is a newer version of the 700. The 4L60E is a newer version of the 4L60 with electronics that control certain functions that where formerly operated through mechanical processes. Hense, E is for electronic.
