Re: Where TF DO I FIND PARTS!!!

Why are you getting cam gears? $150 ea. is a lot of money to spend on a stock motor just for a set of cam gears! I could think of a lot more things to put that $300 towards instead of cam gears that would actually get you power!

I dont understand why people aways go with expensive shit like an Intake manifold on a n/t eclipse, or go with cam gears when their motor is stock. Just something that adds no effect on power. Yes I have cam gears on my RS but that is because I have cams and a built motor, plus I have a turbo.

Now I know someone will say "Intake manifolds add power". Find me a before and after dyno sheet that shows it. I have yet to see an Intake mani produce any power on a n/t eclipse! The day they make one is the day I buy it and put it on my car.

Re: Re: Where TF DO I FIND PARTS!!!

having a bad day there EclipseRST.
Once agian, THE REASON!
I have a bad water pump therefore I have to change it. But since timing, cam gears, and pulley are all in the same area and are going to be worked on anyways, I am upgrading them. As for header. I was invovled in a car accident and my header and intake cracked, so they are being replace as well. Any thing esle you'd like to know? What time I woke up? LOL....j/p. Don't keep ur panties in a twist, it's ku! Every things gonna be juuuussst fiiiine!

No bad day... Just stating the truth. Cam gears are going to do nothing for you, so that $300 you just spent on them, its like throwing that money out the window.

As for the header, yea I have seen people make power off that and a full exhaust so I never said anything about it...

Quit being a smart ass... People like you usually bitch about what you can do to add power to your N/T for cheap! Well spending $300 on cam gears is pathetic on a stock motor!

TreeFrog... What I say is not "LAW". No need to get all defensive over what he posted. I can handle it.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Where TF DO I FIND PARTS!!!

Panties still in a twist?
Don't worry bout the moeny, more where that came from! LOL, what are we arguing about agian.....oh yeah. BTW who said I had a stock motor?
AEM cam gears, DC header, Iceman CAI, will not give me about what 8-10 hp. I'm not saying its gonna add a grib of hp. I'm just sayin I rather pay the extra $$ then sticking with stock. Whats the problem with that.........why ya trippin like that? Taking this way outta....well why continue.......this is lame

Re: Where TF DO I FIND PARTS!!!

Dude, what he's saying is that camgers will do nothing to a stock motor, or, in your case, a nearly stock motor.

Re: Re: Where TF DO I FIND PARTS!!!

okay, let's try one more time.
I Know they won't give me that much HP and the only reason I bought them was to replace the OEM ones, which needed to be replaced. I rather spend the extra $$ and get some sort of improvement rather than sticking with stock! I never said they were gonna give me a great amont of hp and that the produtcs are cheap. I rather buy a turbo and be done with it, but these parts NEED to be replaced for the mean time.....what's the big deal with me modin my car the way I want to?

Re: Where TF DO I FIND PARTS!!!

i hope my post fits into this thread, due to the fact that it's called "where do I find parts". Does anyone of you guys know if there's an intake manifold from OBX Racing fitting the 4G63 in my 92 Eclipse? I just found one for the 95-99 and it doesn't seem to be for the 420A chrisler engine, but I'm not sure about that. It has the part no. #10096.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

I also found a Venom intake manifold,
http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ord-a...old-1-5137.htm

I bet people who don't talk much about money would rather buy a Venom than an OBX, but I don'T know, so what do you know about that?

thank you

Re: Where TF DO I FIND PARTS!!!

boy. where to start.

ajustable cam gears: used for ajusting the timming on eather the intake or exhaust valves providing specific overlap cam duration peirods.

Pro: proper retardation (love using that word) and increased camgear ajustments are proven elements in added HP in Built cylinder heads with specificly ground lift's. they also have slightly Less Mass (always a plus)

Cons: dont do shit on a stock head

OBX intake manifolds. Not tested yet, no 3rd party dyno proven pengilum airflow readings. somone needs to flow test theses manifolds before i buy one. there is no taper twords the back for dirrected airflow. Cheap, but still untested, unreliable in my oppion untell proven through the laws of Physics!

as for your origional question 96elipseracer. i believe JoeWagon has a sticky at the top of the eclipse/laser fourm that alot of relable well know and used dedicated DSM's sights

here let me give you a link http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=213325

Re: Where TF DO I FIND PARTS!!!

i got a reply from OBX, they say the 10096 intake manifold only fits the 420A and they're designing a 4G63 manifold which should be available on the market the next 2 months.
