Re: I Heart Huckabees
Good first post, welcome to AF
![]() I've been a David O. Russell fan back since Three Kings was released. I have to say, Huckabees is by far his greatest achievment. Defiently one of the funniest films of 2004, a triumphant breakthrough film for his writing and direction. Although not without it's flaws, Huckabees is an overly enjoyable movie and is entertaining throughout. The friendship between Mark Wahlberg and Schwartzman's characters is the driving force of the whole movie, I thought it was great. Mark Wahlberg's character alone is worth the ticket price. Jude Law also plays his role perfectly. Excellent, excellent movie.

Vivian: Have you ever transcended space and time?
Albert: Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about. Cricket: Jesus is never mad at us if we live with Him in our hearts! Tommy: I hate to break it to you, but He is - He most definitely is very funny movie, reminded me of Wes Anderson's work. I expected Jude Law to stick out like a sore thumb, but his part with Shania was great. I loved Wahlberg from the beginning, somethingness, nothingness, whaat??!! |
