trying to put a carburetor on 2.2

we are building mini truck to race on circle track. there are no intakes for 2.2 without fuel injection. we've come up with a few ideas but most take much work. any ideas? would be greatly apreciated. fuel injection not allowed in are division.

Re: trying to put a carburetor on 2.2

You can get one off of an old cavalier if you want, they were carburated.

But a fuel injected 2.2L will have more power than any carb model.

Check out www.cliffordperformance.com

These guys have specialized in inline 6 and 4 cylinder intake and exhaust manifolds for a long time... They have manifolds for the 151 and 153 cu in 4 cylinder GM motors. They may be able to help you in your search.

For the 2.2 you may have to use some imagination....

Good luck ,

Mike

eveident, but carberators arnet allowd in his devision, that woud be illegal, and piss me off if i was the one getting dped and possibly fined for a fuel delevery system... but my question is, does it have to a carb? could you use a throttle body? it's just an electricly controlled carb afterall
