E46 with an S85??!!

Howdy M3 crowd. I've been looking at E46's for awhile and then got really excited by the prospect of the V8 in the upcoming E90. Only problem: styling. I don't think the E90 looks all that great from every angle, like the E46 most certainly does. So here's my plan. Get an E46, and then somewhere down the line attempt an S85 swap to keep up with (put me ahead of) the E90 fellas. I know Hartge has already managed to get an S85 in an E90, and they have also gotten an S62 (same displacement as the S85) into the E46. Anyone think I'm crazy? I think it'd be awesome

If you plan on spending $20k for the engine, and figuring out all the correct wiring and keep it emissions leagal, then good luck.

Yeah, I was thinking the motor would be around 20k...but that's around the price difference between a used E46 and what they E90 will be new. Luckily no emissions testing here in MN, yahoo.
