2006 AF Eighties Contest Rules

The time is almost upon us, less than a week to finish off those entries.

2006 AF EIGHTIES CONTEST RULES

1. ENTRY

Entries for the contest will close at midnight on the 1st of July 2006. That is for the whole globe! So those who are still struggling to finish can have as much time as possible.

To officially enter the contest each contestant must submit a 640 x 480 pixel photo for the contest thread as well as any desired links to progress/finished threads even personal websites. Both must be PMed to me, RallyRaider, by the above deadline. Ideally the picture will be hosted by the contestant on a reliable server but if you have difficulty, contact me and we can sort something out.

Remember this is an Eighties decade comp so only motor vehicles that raced/rallied during that decade are eligible. Multiple entries are welcome. Even if you haven't declared your entry or made a progress thread of your recently finished 80s model, you can still be a part of it. The more entries the better.

2. CATEGORIES

There will be two categories:

1. Full detailed
2. Curbside (or is that kerbside?)

3. VOTING

Winners will be decided by member voting. Voting will be open to any member of AF who registered prior to the posting of this announcement. To vote simply PM me, RallyRaider, with your choices. Just like the AFMOTY you can select three models, ranked as three points, two points and one point. But this time there are two seperate lists. To avoid confusion please use the below format:

3 points – username
2 points – username
1 points – username

Curbside
3 points – username
2 points – username
1 points – username

If there is any uncertainty I’ll attempt to clear it up with a return PM, if time allows. Voting will be open for one week following the posting of the pictures thread on the 2nd of July 2006. The models with the most points will be declared the winners. In the event of a tie, a countback will occur with the highest number of three point scores (then two point scores if necessary) being declared the winner.

4. ANNOUNCING WINNERS

Results should be announced within 24 hours of the close of voting. Winners will then be asked to forward their details to the sponsors/donors so prizes can be sent out.

5. PRIZES

1st place - Trophy and Tamiya Ferrari kit (donated by Chad) and a MSM Creation 360 Challenge Stradate transkit (donated by MSM Creation)
2nd place - Tamiya Peugeot 206 kit (donated by me)

CURBSIDE:

1st place - Trophy and Tamiya Ferrari kit (donated by Chad) and three sets of Speedline/Raceworks decals (donated by Strada Sports)
2nd place - Fujimi Ford GT40 kit (donated by me)
