2001 Jetta & iPod2car

I'm looking to install the iPod2car, which enables you to play and charge your iPod through the CD Changer port on the back of the head unit. I need to know if there is a way to get at the back of the head unit without taking it out, any ideas?

You probably can do it without taking out the deck, but why would you want to? Is it a stock deck or aftermarket? It is most likely going to be easier to just take the deck out. If it is a STOCK deck, does it even have a port for the iPOD?

It is the stock deck, this device plugs into the CD changer port, not an iPod specific one. My dad didn't want to take the deck out for some reason, so i thought i'd save us time by checking here.

The unit must come out to get access to the backside ports.
