Arrow wheels wheels wheels!

what is the offset on the base 93 stealth's? is it ok to put a wheel with a 38+ offset on? and also what is a better fitt a 225mm wide tires on a 17"x7" wheels or 225mm tires on 18"x7.5"?

Re: wheels wheels wheels!

I would never have a 7" wide 17" or even 16" wheel on a 3s. If you go with a 17 go 245/45 or 18 go with 245/40. You will love the added width and the look it gives the car. I ran some 245/50/16's and it looked great. As for the offset I am not 100% sure.

Re: Re: wheels wheels wheels!

Well if I remember right you said you were automatic. In a base auto its hard to make the tires spin anyways. I can turn 245's over no problem. They make a nice smokey burnout.

225 width is stock, but IMO its too narrow. i say at least 245. 255 would be very nice. as to Stealthee's suggestions on the sidewall measurement, if you plan on enjoying the handling capabilities of the 3S, then i wouldn't go below 45, 55 to be safe.

Re: wheels wheels wheels!

i am thinking of going with 18" 7.5"wide wheels with 225/50 tires do you guys think that will fit without any problems. im just worrying about if the tire does not fit or hits something. and actualy on a base stealth the stock size is 205/65

Re: Re: wheels wheels wheels!

Linebacker. for 18's 245/40 is the stock height tires for 3s's. 245/45/18 is taller than stock.

O & G 225/50 is actually too tall for 18" rims. You will not have any issues what soever running 245/40/18's. 7.5" width is ok and you will not rub. Hell there are a few guys who have 19's and I even saw one on 20's. The base Stealth is the exact same chassis as all the NA 3s's.

As for the brakes I heard that our brakes are actually upgrades for DSM's.
