chatter?

i have a 2001 focus, and non of the guys over in focus know nething abouit this, whe im drivig at about 22k the car chatters, tranny chatter i think, but not that four banger no power chatter and only does if if your doing any acceleration minor or not,
Also the shifter seems to go TOO Far, and whe it does it pops back into place randomly during driving, iM LOSt, and it seems like this car never shifts the same whas the deal yo?
