Re: need A/T help!!!!
noo tranny flush will kill it...not that it's gonna last anyway...tranny flush will last long enough to get you to the tranny shop for your new tranny!! your clutch pack is going bad i believe...which gear clutch pack i couldn't tell you b/c you probably didn't test it to find out.

uhmm, its probably just the end clutch and he wont need a new tranny. Count the gears next time you drive it. And if thats too hard, do it like this. Turn the OD button off, put it in the first gear, start accelerating normally, shift it into 2nd, do the same, same goes into 3rd (D) and if all goes good, then turn the OD button back on. If it then flies into neutral because the Overdrive button was turned on, then your end clutch is fried. A dealership replacement including labor at the dealership will run you about $400. If i remember correctly, Labor is 2 hours for an end clutch. You can get an alto end clutch replacement for like $75 from importperformancetransmissions.com and then find a tranny shop, most probably charge around $50/hr since dealership charges $75/hr, and total cost shouldnt be anymore than 200, but this is of course if your car flies into neutral when engaging into 4th gear.
