Halo Plugs mileage report

Well, I've had my halo plugs in for a while now,and last week I did some work for a company in Central Cali, so I tracked my miles and gas to see what's up with these plugs.

I thought I might have screwed up somehow, that's why I've waited to post this. I must have the gallons mixed up.

When I arrived at destination, tripmeter read 310. The fuel guage was about 1/4 inch above the 1/4 tank-left line on guage. So I figure that's around 10 gallons..(?) so 31 mpg?? Isn't that the sticker highway miles? So that's no gain, though I think it may not be 10 gallons.

On the way back, I said screw that experiment, and I tried another:
Does everyones cruise control max out at 93 mph?

being slightly above the 1/4 tank mark is not 10 gallons... if so, you'd have over a 30 gallon tank!!

the US P11's have a 15 7/8 Gallon Fuel tank

Here's a better way to measure milage. Fill up your tank, when the pump stops wait a second and give it a squeeze until it stops again. Set your odo to 0. Drive around until you feel like filling it up again. Fill it up the exact same way each time. That amout of fuel that you now put in is how much 'petrol' it took to go whatever milage is displayed on your odo.

I just filled my tank and I got almost exactly 10 liters/100 km. Not great but not bad either. How do you like that!

HOLY GEEKNESS

Now why didn't I think of that!

I too have the HALO plugs and will be measuring mileage. Why can't we get cool shit like in the bimmers where it tells you how much gas you are using.

surely our ECU does stuff like that.

don't you remember, I got the duelly fuel tank option...

i meant that I had used about 10 gallons.
When the trip was done, and the mileage was at 310, I had used probably a little less than 2/3 of a tank.
And now that I know about the tanks being 15 7/8 gallons (thx boogie), yeah, that sounds about right.

But, this means that I got no gain on Infiniti's claim of 31 mpg on highway.
Now, I probably should have done the same thing BEFORE I put the halos in, but why do a job right the first time, when you can do it half-assed? wait...huh?

I do like GForces idea, I guess I'll have to experiment over the next few weeks.

Unfortunately, I have no idea if 10Liters/100km is good.... I am metric-challenged. 1 liter for every 10k, or about 16(?) miles. but whats a liter?

Oh...duh.. It's also about 1/2 of a 2 liter soda bottle. Doh!
So, then that does sound pretty good.

Yeah, I wish we had a mpg read out; I'm sure there's lots of things the ecu could do that it doesn't. Like my mom's I30: If you hold down the unlock button on key fob, the 2 front windows will roll down. Why isn't that feature on my G?!!
