I really want to put an aftermarket stereo system in my car. I have accepted the fact that i need to replace all the speakers in the car and I don't have a problem with it. I will be putting two subs in it . . . one in the current location of the sub behind the drivers seat . . . and another behind the passenger seat in a custom box for these placements.
****what I was wondering was if somebody knows if I can do this . . . while keeping my stock headunit. I also want to keep the Nav audio coming out of all the speakers.**** |

should be able to be done.... take it to a shop that knows what they are doin.
JL Audio has a new product coming out this spring that'll convert a stereo's signal into a high-end quality sound. Great for using your stock head unit. I'd suggest looking into it as long as you keep the stock wiring for your speakers in the doors and behind seats, your navi sounds should work as well |

Re: subs w/ stock headunit and nav.
JL has a nice stealth box for the Z also, does your car have the Bose system? When i went to Tweeter, they said I have to do everything...all 7 speakers and head unit. But i'm ok with that, too. It'll be worth it in the long run. Bass sounds awsome in the Z. Don't forget to dynamat the hell out of it!
