what do you miss most when you are overseas?

If you travel overseas a lot, or have moved to another country, what are the little things that you miss.....?

I lived in England for 23 years and I miss Harvey's Sussex Bitter...

From when I lived in England I really miss Minstrels (yummy candy :licker: )

From Sydney I really miss these great yoghurts that they have (I know, I know, I’m very sad). They were Ski Delites in Mandarin flavour and tasted just like cheescake! :licker; I also miss the Hard Rock Café. We should have got one in Auckland instead of Planet Hollywood. The Hard Rock is so much better.

I also miss heaps of things about Hawaii to mention. I’ve got to get back there for a holiday soon.

When I was in Germany I missed toilets with water in them. I swear those toilets had exactly 12 ounces of water in them.

I'm Aussie, but I lived in Malaysia for 5 1/2 years when I was young. I miss the monsoon rains, living a 50 second run to the beach from my house on Jalan Hashim (Penang Island). I miss walking through jungle to a kampong and the bustle, smells and sound of different languages and dialects. I miss durian and lichees, bags with flavoured ice and exploring rubber plantations. *sigh*

I didn't miss innoculations every 6 months. "I think I'll come back later was my comment to my mother as I bolted down the stairs of the Hospital and out the door the first time I had to have them done

When we lived there we missed Aussie lollies. Whenever you went to Malaysia kids would bring bags of Aussie lollies with them - instant friends for life I didn't miss Australia too much - other than knowing that it was my home. But I find it hard to think of living anywhere else - to me it's like no-where else on earth.

I miss from Sicily: The girls riding around on their vespas in those nice bikinis all summer long. And oh how they're so tanned and yummmmmmmeeeee!!!

Oh, I guess I love the midnight swims in the med where the water is still warm no matter what time of day it is. And the fresh calamari and swordfish. MMM.... I think it's due time for a trip back

I've only been overseas once...to Bali

what I missed most was decent water, decent beer (the VB tastes weird over there, and the local beer, Bintang, gets a bit much after a week), cool air (the humidity is a killer), and of course, my car!
