need new tires for my 4th gen si rims

i have the stock si rims still on my lude and last summer i bought toyo proxies (f4),; size 50 instead of 55 to give it a little lower look, and they sucked on the street for racing and everyday driving. im thinking about getting new bf goodrich gforce t/a's up front. how beefier of a tire can i put on these si rims before it looks plan stupid. i just want something beefy for the fronts if you know what i mean
