Tire Question

I Got A '94 Silverado With 265/75r/16 Tires. I Need To Get New Tires, Discount Has A Used Set Of Four 245/75/16 Goodyear M/t/r's, Which Are Nice Mud Tires, For $100 A Piece. Will The Switch From 265 To 245 Hurt My Truck. The Tire Guy Said Only The Mph Will Be Affected......anyone Know Where I Can Get A Good Set Of Tires(265/75/16)tires??

That wouldn't hurt anything, other then slightly throw your mph off. Some of those trucks actually came out with 245/75/16s.

Re: Tire Question

In my experience mud tires dont last on the road Ive had bfg`s mud kings swampers & dunlop mud rovers & they all wore bad on the street. But dont get me wrong I used & abused them all !!!! good year long trail is a good intermediate tire I have used on big trucks that work good on the road but still work ok off road.Or maybe micky thompson baja radialMTX.check out www.4wheelparts.com They can hook you up w/what ever you need. Its really up to you and your needs are most of your miles on pavement or dirt or snow???I dont drive a lot of miles to work & such so I choose to run big bad mud tires I just rotate often!!
