Have a question about tranny filter/fluid??

Where exactly is the filter located and the screw to get the old fluid out??

Any suggestions on what fluid to use or is there only one available for all?? and the filter??

thanks in advance??

Re: Have a question about tranny filter/fluid??

The filter and fluid are located inside the pan on the bottom of the transmission. The transmission does not have a drain plug so you must remove the pan to drain the fluid out. As far as the type of fluid I believe your car uses Dexron III, check the transmission dip stick to see what fluid is correct.
If you have never done this job take it to a garage or lube place and have someone do the job for you. It is not difficult but if done incorrectly you can damage the transmission.
