my first thread but in need of advise

well im 17 i got an el camino for my first car last year. my uncle gave it to me for free. but now i need a a biger truck. so i have talked to a few people about el caminos and they all told me that when people go to buy an el camino, they dont car so much about how it runs as to how it looks. is this true or false? although my uncle had a brand new engine dropped in about 5 years ago its not in the best condition.

the real question i have is this... my car is an 85 and a v-6. say i get a whole new exhaust, either camileon or just another coat of gold paint job, and some pretty desent rims on it. how much do you think i can get for it? oh and i have 2 JL w3 12 inch sub woofers and a 1500 watt amp. the bed also has a pretty nice lining in it. please respond with anything.

I really can't say much on the price issue cause i havn't seen the car but what i can tell you is I'm a huge El Camino fan and the condition its in matters to me. it dosn't really matter what kinda car it is, if somones looking for a beater car/truck, there not gonna care about how it looks. But if somones looking for a mint condition El Camino, well there gonna be into the details. finding the right buyer is key when selling your car.
