new subs

Thinkin about selling the sexxx's and gettin' some new subs with a little bit more ouput, efficiency, and sound quality. The choices right now are 2 avalanche 12's 2 magnumd2 12's (should be out anytime now) RE's new 15 Brahama 15 2 sound splinter rl-p 12's. Have an avionixx 1200.2 right now and can get another if needed. Any input? SR20? This is down the road not anytime soon. I need components and an amp for components before i re-do my substage.

Re: new subs

if this is down the road, you might as well go for the big RE when it comes out

Re: new subs

I dunno if it needs a bagillion watts like the xxx's then I'm thinkin not, I'm REEELY leaning towards the mags......after havin my first encounter w. one yesterday i fell in love lol..... plus Nick said the prices are gunna be even lowre then before!!!! They were 300 shipped so I don't think you can beat supersub performance for that price. plus it CANNOT bottom out. The spider can't crash the top plate and the coil can't reach the bottom plate...... coil can't jump the gap either......ever wonder why a few have ripped surround? That's the only mechanical failure they have and its DAMN hard to get that to happen u gotta push them WAY too hard...... And they're DAMN efficient. My buddy Noah had a pair in a dakota ext cab on two avionixx 1200.2's not even pushing full wattage and did like a 148 in a fucked up comp box (he was playing blelow tuning). Well see I hope to have a new setup in by summer. Gotta wang for the hotties............ hmmm maybe I'll nickname my car the lifesize vibrator..... let the hot one's sit in for free charge the ugly one's 10 bucks........hmmmmm pay off my investment in no time!!!!!

You have to be kidding me. Your current setup isn't loud enough? I'm not going to give input to someone who knows more than me. But go with what works the best. I'd wait for that new RE to come out before I made a final decision though.

Re: new subs

I say you just keep the setup you have and just add like 1 or 2 good 5 Farad Caps to it. That will definetly give you the boost you need to reach your goals
