Road Noise

96 Caravan used to be quiet - now I hear what sounds like tire noise. It started suddenly on a trip. Everything still runs fine. Can something happen to tires so they start making noise - or is it mechanical

tire noise is the number cause of road noise. How long have you had your set of tires?

Re: Road Noise

I've only had the van for a couple months - Funny thing is it was quiet - I pulled into a gas station and checked the tires - pressure was about 25 in all 4 - I put it up to 30 and then the noise started. Put the pressure down again - doesn't help. Tires look good - maybe 25% wear. I've heard loud tires before, but I wonder if a seperation or something can suddenly cause a tire to get noisy? ...Thanks for your response

Re: Re: Road Noise

Then you should check whether it's coming from tires or the chassis, like bearing noise.....
