righty tighty, lefty loosey?

Replacing the belt and idler pully, to loosen the nut on the pulley, is it to the left?(normal way? or is it a reversed thread?? Its tight going both ways, so before I but a breaker bar and some muscle behind it, wanted to check to see what you guys thought.

99 lumina LTZ, 3.8.

Thanks!
Paul

On pulleys like that, it goes whichever way would make the pulleys' spin tend to tighten the bolt. Otherwise, the small amout of torque on it from the spin would eventually loosen it. It probably is reverse threaded. A lot of them are.
