Got my Syncros Replaced

I just got back from the dealership and had all syncros replaced. All i can say is thank god it was under warranty. Big price tag for that work. I will update any improvements in the shifting of my car.

Re: Got my Syncros Replaced

Hmm this is because of the TSB right?

I wonder how much of a difference it'd make.

Ya its the TSB. I'm not holding my breath but hopefully things will improve. Not to say that the cars shifting was terrible. But there was the grinding into second every now a then and third gear would act up a bit. The guy at the dealer ship said the material used in the new syncros is different then the stock ones. I guess there carbon or something. Not sure though.

Does this grinding issue only apply to the Type-S? Cause I get a little grind going into second now and then in my Base Model.

BTW, how the heck do I upload a photograph??!! I can't even use smilies!! Is this a seniority issue?

The 6-speed is a new product from Honda, so a few problems are to be expected.
The 5-speed has been in production for a longer time, so it should have less problems.

Paul, go to "Gallery" at the top of the page, go into "My Gallery" (your personal gallery) and you should be able to search your files to upload. Then just right click copy and paste into your posts. And I don't think they allow people from the midwest to use Smilies as these people are generally too friendly and affable, thus they tend to overuse them.

LOL!! Friendly and affable......not here in mid-Michigan......must be the extreme weather and economic distress.

Thanks for the tip; I guess I thought Gallery referred to something else. I still have a 50k or 80k or some ridiculous file size limit. My pics are around ten times that size!!
